Which Salsa class should I go to?

Beginners

If you've never danced salsa before or if you think you've got two left feet, this one's for you! You'll learn the basic rhythms, steps & turns in Bachata, Merengue & Salsa.

Beginners Plus

You've got the basics from the beginners class, but just need more practice and a few extra moves to build your confidence.

Intermediate

You've learnt the basic steps and turns - this is where you'll start to put it all together in fluent sequences. You'll also start to learn Cha Cha Cha, but watch out - the music gets faster!

Advanced

So you already know what you're doing on the dance floor - you've got the rhythm & the moves. Now all you need is a touch of Cuban style & lots of fun!

If you're still not sure which class is best for you, just call us for a chat on 01253 304996 & we'll find the right level to suit you. You can also e-mail us at

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I've never danced before?
No problem. Anyone can learn to dance as long as you're prepared to put in the footwork! It's our job to teach you.
How long does each course last?
We don't like to put timescales on our classes as each group of people is different. Our aim is to get the whole class dancing together and we'll let you know when the class is promoted to the next level.
Do you have to be within a certain age range to dance Salsa?
There's no age limit on salsa and we have students from 16 to 75!
Do you need to be fit to dance salsa?
Salsa helps keep you fit, so apart from a great social activity, it's a great way to get into shape. However, if you have any medical conditions, please consult your GP before joining the class.
What if I haven't got a partner?
That's fine. Single people are very welcome - just be prepared to dance with lots of new friends!
What should I wear?
Just come in whatever keeps you comfortable & cool! Most normal shoes will do, but preferably not stilettos, open backed shoes or trainers - comfort & safety are the top priorities.
My husband/ partner won't come with me - what can I do?
Reassure him that there ARE men in all our classes and that once he's got past his initial fears, he'll be hooked forever!
How much do the classes cost?
Classes cost £5.00 each and you just pay for each class you come to. No need to pay for a whole course up front!
